Companies that don't talk about service much
"If you have Great Service Shout it Out"
The only thing I don't like is when companies don't speak loudly about something they should be providing. 24/7 support should be offered by phone, email and instant messenger depending on how the customer wants it. Hoest Porviders provide a service and the quality of the service is based on what the customer wants and what they actually get.
Service is everything
If you have an excellent product but poor service then you will fail, get irritated and upset when problems arise. 24/7 phone and online support is like an insurance policy you better have. When hosting with any company check the status of their service support they are currently offering just in case it might have changed but their Web Page does not reflect their current Status.
New Technology with Bad Service
I don't care if they have the latest and greatest hardware and best price especially when my sites down and I can't get anyone to answer the phone. As a cutomer I require the very best service I can get and not what a company is willing to offer me. Now It is great to have the latest gear but before you check in on that first make sure that they are there to take care of you when problems arise other wise you S.O.L.
Constant charges
Don't be nicheled and dimed to death. Be ready to fight for service you were promised or should get free. Now if you only spent a couple a dollars a month then at the same time don't expect them to drop everything to help you out. Money still talks these days and honestly when you pick the cheapest host providers I wish you luck when problems arise.
Fact is no one can work for free and in a high tech market with large salaries you will get what you paid for and then some but they will not roll out the carpet for you and your $5 a month hosting account.
